Artist’s Package: $410
(two nights, based on double occupancy)
- Two nights’ accommodation at Bluff Hollow for two people and their dog(s)
- Gourmet breakfast each morning
- A hands-on, one-on-one class for one person, to learn how to make one of Bluff Hollow’s art forms (which you’ll take home with you):
- Concrete face, from a selection of several unique molds; or
- Mushroom paper bowl
- $20 gift certificate toward lunch or gallery purchase at the Copper Sky Café and Gallery, Madeira Park
If two people wish to take the same class, add $25 to the package price.
If two people wish to take two different classes, add $50 to the package price.

Concrete Face
Doing concrete art means you’ll get dirty! Bring old clothes and be prepared for goggles and dust masks. We’ll go over the history of concrete, then look at the various mixes used here in our studio. You will learn to mix the concrete, with optional colour additions, and to “feel” when the mix is ready. On the next day you’ll have the thrill of removing the piece from the mold.You’ll learn how to cure the concrete and finish your piece so that you have “one of a kind”!
Mushroom Paper Bowl
We’ll start with a guided foray in the forest behind Bluff Hollow (dogs will join us on this leash-free romp). Here you’ll learn to identify the mushrooms used for papermaking. On returning to the studio, you’ll help process the mushrooms. You’ll learn papermaking techniques, making samples of three kinds of mushroom paper. Then you’ll make your own unique mushroom paper bowl. Total time: approximately four hours
The Pampered Pooch: $380
(two nights, based on double occupancy, one dog)
- Two nights’ accommodation at Bluff Hollow for two people and their dog
- Gourmet breakfast each morning
- A play date and forest romp with Silas while the owners enjoy some quiet time (owners are welcome to join us!)
- A size-appropriate indestructible chew toy filled with homemade dog treats
- A gourmet tiffin lunch for the humans to take along on one of the spectacular hikes in the area
For an additional dog, add $25 to the package price
Foodies’ Three-Nighter: $640
(three nights, based on double occupancy)
- Three nights’ accommodation at Bluff Hollow for two people and their dog(s)
- Gourmet breakfast each morning
- Delicious tiffin lunch to take along on one of the spectacular hikes in the area
- Cooking lesson from Chef Rick: take a “ringside” seat at the kitchen island and watch as he prepares a fabulous dinner, then join us at the table for a gourmet evening meal
- $75 gift certificate toward dinner at the Painted Boat Restaurant in Madeira Park
