Dog Info

We all want our dog visitors to enjoy the holiday and to stay healthy. If your dog is likely to drink or swim in lakes or streams, it should be vaccinated against Giardiasis (beaver fever).

Ticks are a fact of life on the Sunshine Coast, and while Lyme disease is rare, it’s a good idea to get your dog vaccinated against it, for everyone’s peace of mind. However, we have yet to find a tick on Silas during the summer months; they seem to reach their peak in the middle of winter.

We recommend that you check with your veterinarian before travelling with your dog to any rural area.
