Process
The majority of Bluff Hollow Cement Works’ mold-produced pieces are coloured in three levels:
| 1 | Integral: a coloured powder is added to the basic concrete mix |  |
| 2 | Acid staining: a concrete acid stain is applied for contrast |  |
| 3 | Sealer: a water-based sealer, with an acrylic colour added, is applied as a final coat. |  |
Some of the smaller pieces are made with a high-polymer mix; as a result, they are heavier in relation to size than the lightweight pieces.
