Directions
From Vancouver:
A bonus for travellers to the Sunshine Coast: you pay only one way – you won’t be charged for your ferry ride off the Coast.
Follow Highway 1 west to the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. For ferry schedules, go to www.bcferries.bc.ca. Enjoy the scenic 40-minute ferry ride to Langdale, then follow Highway 101 through Gibsons and Sechelt. In another 45 minutes, you’ll see signs welcoming you to Pender Harbour. After you pass Madeira Park, Highway 101 curves around a large bay on the left (Gunboat Bay). You’ll soon come to a Petro-Canada station on your left, with signs directing you to Garden Bay Resort Area. Turn left here and stay on this road for about 5 km. As soon as you see a lake on your left (that’s Garden Bay Lake), watch for Hammond Road on your right. Take this turn, veer right at the first fork and left at the next fork; you’re now on Bear Bay Road. This road eventually makes a sharp left (you don’t want to go straight on Mixal Heights).
Follow Bear Bay Road until you see the Bluff Hollow sign on your right. Turn in here and follow the driveway up and around the pond. When you enter our Leash-Free Zone, you’ll know you’ve arrived at Bluff Hollow.
From Powell River:
Take in the beautiful scenery on the 50-minute ferry ride from Saltery Bay to Earls Cove, then drive the 16 km to the Petro-Canada station at Garden Bay Road, where you’ll turn right. Follow the directions as above.
